The Starflex Type 1 hose, in uncoated white, has received approval for marine usage under the Marine Equipment Directive (MED) (in diameters up to 2" or 52mm).
Its lightweight construction makes it particularly suitable for a variety of uses, including general-purpose firefighting, washdown procedures and controlling dust dispersion. Additionally, there is a high-visibility yellow variant of the Type 1 hose available as well.

Layflat fire hoses are designed to be stored flat and uncoiled when needed. They are often used for transporting water over long distances or for temporary applications, as they can be easily rolled up and stored when not in use.
